As an All-Round Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Technologist / Analyst at HilverdaFlorist, you play an important role in safeguarding the health, quality, and reliability of our plants. Your work is varied and takes place in the greenhouse, the laboratory, and the office. In this versatile position, you combine hands-on work with advanced laboratory analyses and international collaboration.
You will examine plant samples for the presence of pathogens and specific traits and perform analyses according to established protocols. You are not only responsible for carrying out analyses but also for critically evaluating results and identifying risks, opportunities, and improvements.
A successful laboratory technician at HilverdaFlorist goes beyond performing analyses correctly. You think ahead, identify abnormalities before others notice them, and translate diagnostic results into practical recommendations for colleagues. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to breeding, production, and phytosanitary decision-making.
You work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities. At the same time, you collaborate closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and at our international locations. You actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, where quality, collaboration, and respect are central.
At HilverdaFlorist, you will join an ambitious family-owned company with a strong international focus. Together, we are building a successful future where ownership, continuous improvement, respect, and pride form the foundation of our daily work. We believe that people make the difference. That is why you will have the opportunity to take initiative, contribute ideas, and further develop yourself. We are happy to invest in people who take responsibility and want to grow, both personally and professionally.
You are an accurate and committed laboratory professional who enjoys taking responsibility for the quality of your work. You like working in a structured way and delivering reliable results. At the same time, you are enthusiastic about analyzing data, solving problems, and improving processes. It is precisely this combination of routine, accuracy, and continuous improvement that makes this role attractive to you.
All of our core values are important for this position, but ownership and continuous improvement are the most decisive for success. You will be responsible for results that directly influence important decisions within our organization. Therefore, we expect you to take initiative, think critically, and continuously look for ways to improve.
Technical knowledge is important, but attitude and behavior ultimately make the difference. Therefore, when candidates meet the basic requirements, we prefer someone who shows initiative, enjoys learning, and actively contributes ideas for improvement. A colleague who asks questions, recognizes opportunities, takes responsibility, and is eager to continue developing will add the greatest long-term value to our laboratory and our organization.
